Introductory Session

The initial session will enable you (the client) and myself to have an informal chat about your personal fitness goals including your health/exercise history.
The information gathered will allow me to design a training programme that will best suit your needs and goals.

Assessment:

Includes physical checks such as height, weight, resting heart rate (RHR) as well as basic movement analysis.
The movement analysis, known as the Overhead Squat Assessment (OHSA), will show me how your body responds to the movement: for example, .
if you have tight calves, rounded shoulders (Kyphosis), or a hollow lower back (Lordosis).
Once analysed I can prescribe an exercise programme aimed specifically for your body.
This allows the body to get rid of any muscular imbalances by stretching tight muscles and strengthening weak/overstretched muscles.

PAR-Q: Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire

The PAR-Q involves answering a series of questions relating to your personal health and current activity levels.
This allows me to confirm that you are ‘fit & healthy’ enough to begin an exercise programme.
Please note, this is a signed and dated document showing that you have no underlying health conditions that may affect your exercise programme.

This involves the ability to control and maintain body movement. 

Usually performed on an uneven surface such as on 1 leg or a stability ball/disc.

This is great for core strength and activation. As we age, we are more prone to falls which can potentially lead to injury. Balance training is designed to help mitigate this.

Kids & Teenagers training

(With parental authorisation for those below the age of 18)

If your children are bored or fed up during this lockdown period, with no facilities being open, not being able to participate in group activities, then a personal training session can reap enormous rewards.

Not only will your child have the benefit of staying active and maintaining physical health, but also, a boost mentally.

It is proven that when children feel fit & healthy their mental capabilities improve: such as increased concentration levels and a greater sense of well-being.

The training sessions aimed for youngsters are more fun & game orientated.

With my years of coaching experience I have found that youngsters respond more productively with this type of training, rather than a strict regimented session.

I want the kids to enjoy sport/exercise which in turn can lead them to maintain a healthy lifestyle, one which they will carry on into adulthood.

INSURANCE:

I have full public liability insurance  (via insure4sport) which covers any accidents or damage.

DBS CERTIFIED

Disclosure Barring Service is a certificate that shows the named person is free of any criminal convictions or cautions.
My certificate was renewed January 2021.

All personal information gathered will be securely stored and not shared. This will be s signed document between myself and the client to ensure that all details shall remain ‘private’.

COVID 19 GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES:

Current guidelines allow for Personal Training sessions to be performed on a 1-2-1 basis.
It must be done outside in the open air (in your local park or public gardens)
Unfortunately at this time, training cannot be undertaken in any household or private garden.
